Brilliance, Birthdays & Bon Voyage!

Hello Beech Class!
Welcome to your penultimate Blog…just one more to go on Monday. Good news, there is no set work or activities to do! We are going to start off by looking at more of the brilliant work that you’ve done, followed by a mini-celebration and ending with a Bon Voyage!

Well done to everyone…the amazing work just keeps coming in!

Dunraven Virtual Summer Concert
I hope some of you managed to watch yesterday’s Summer Concert. I’m sure, like me, you were blown away by the incredible talent that we have at Dunraven. Year 3 was represented by Will from Oak Class and our very own Anna May, Edith and Tabitha. I was so impressed with their musical skills and overall performances…a massive well done to you three…

It’s Evan’s Birthday today…Happy Birthday Evan! We hope you have a FAB day, with lots of cards, presents and cake!

It was Daisy’s Birthday a couple of weeks ago, Tuesday 23 June. Happy Belated Birthday Daisy, we hope you had an AMAZING day!

To all of you that have had Birthday’s in ‘Lockdown’ and to those who have yet to have them, here’s wishing you a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY…

Bon Voyage
So with the end of the term just around the corner, and your next adventure (Year 4) starting in September, we just wanted to say a few things.

Firstly, to the children in Beech class. A massive well done and thank you for the tremendous resilience you have shown at this difficult time. You have put a great deal of effort into all your Home Learning to create interesting, informative and at times incredibly innovative work. You should be very proud of yourselves. I know that everyone at Dunraven has been blown away by the exceptional work that they have seen.

Secondly, to parents and families. You too have shown monumental effort and commitment to Home Learning. Your patience, flexibility and creativeness has meant that your children have continued to make great progress. Thank you.
Fingers crossed you will never be asked to balance three jobs…parent/guardian, the job you interviewed for and Home-Teacher…ever again!

If there is anything we can do to help between now and the start of next year, please don’t hesitate to contact us at  For now though, we look forward to welcoming you back in September and seeing everyone together again at last!

Moving on up…!
Dear Beech Class, just to let you know that from September I will be working with the Year 5 Classes, so moving up to the top-floor. While I am looking forward to a new adventure at Dunraven, I will REALLY, REALLY, REALLY, REALLY miss you. As someone who was new to the school, I couldn’t have asked for a better class to work with. You have shown me all the best bits about getting back into teaching, thank you x

There will be no goodbyes as I will be checking in on you regularly, and no doubt keeping an eye on you in the playground at Lunchtimes! Have an amazing Summer. Remember, this is six weeks of not having to think about school so make sure you do just that!

Miss Lobb x
