Home Learning: Day 52 (Tuesday 23/6/20)

Good Morning Beech Class!
Another Sunny day so why not start off with a Sun Salutation (scroll to the bottom of the Blog). We are Multiplying and Dividing in Maths today…don’t let the big numbers put you off! And as a recap from last week’s Angles and Shapes topic I’ve included a paper activity that has lots of shapes, parallel lines, angles and perpendicular lines in it.

Multiply and Divide by 1000
In this lesson, we will use our place value knowledge to multiply and divide numbers by 1000. Click here to get started.

Chapter 1 of our new book, Queen Martha, is ready to read…
Martha’s farm is in danger of being sold when she finds out some surprising information about her past. Can she save the farm?

You should have lots to say in this writing task! What have you missed about being at School and what haven’t you missed? List writing tips…use short sentences or bullet points; use sub-headings; keep your Pros (what you like about school) and Cons (what you dislike about school) separate from each other.

The Art of Origami
Origami is the traditional Japanese art of paper folding, which started in the 17th century AD. It has since evolved into a modern-day art form. Experts in Origami create very intricate and beautiful designs.

Have a go at making either a BOAT or a FISH.

Sun Salutation
The Sun Salutation is a series of Yoga poses performed in a sequence, often used as a warm-up. Give it a go and start your day feeling refreshed and calm.

Have a Terrific Tuesday…
