Weekly Project: Science
How do bones & muscles work?
This is a topic that we have already covered in school, so see how much you can remember. Watch this short video about why bones and muscles are so important. https://www.bbc.co.uk/teach/class-clips-video/science-ks2-how-do-muscles-and-bones-work/zfgtscw
In the video animals with an exoskeleton are mentioned. Can you remember what this is, and how it’s different to a human Skeleton? Click here to find out more about exoskeletons.
Create a poster with a list and pictures of animals with an exoskeleton and others who have their skeletons on the inside of their body (Endoskeleton).
Discuss and note on the poster what are the advantages and disadvantages of having your skeleton on the outside, and the advantages and disadvantages of having your bones inside your body.
Have a Marvellous Monday…
