Chapter 2 of The Sleeping Volcano and the quiz questions are ready to go on Purple Mash as well as an open writing challenge called The Ladder – let your imaginations run free (but don’t forget to use paragraphs)!

Essay: Why was the river Nile so important in Ancient Egypt.

– Explain what the river Nile does every year in your introduction and list the things that this gave the Egyptians.

– Use paragraphs to organise your work.

– Explain each thing and how it came from the River Nile in steps in each paragraph.
