Home Learning: Day 36

Hello, Beech class!

Happy June! Welcome back to home school for the final term of the year! Who would have thought our final term would look like this? I hope you all had a great week off. I’m sure that you all got up to lots of interesting things so please do share by e-mail!

Today’s learning

Let’s start the new term with a bit of challenge.  Instead of My Maths today, I want you all to go over to Oak National Academy and try today’s maths lesson: https://www.thenational.academy/year-3/maths/to-describe-2-d-shapes-based-on-their-properties-year-3-wk6-1

English and reading

New e-book on Purple Mash: The Sleeping Volcano

We are starting a new book on Purple Mash called The Sleeping Volcano.  Chapter 1 and the first set of multiple choice questions are ready to complete now!

Also, have a go at seeing how much about volcanoes you remember from your lessons with Ms. Marsh! Complete the writing task on Purple Mash called All About Volcanoes.

There is also a SPaG (spelling, punctuation and grammar) task to complete once you have finished here: SleepingVolcano_SPaG_Ch1

Joe Wicks is carrying on with his daily PE lessons on his YouTube channel at 9:00 am today!

Here is some handwriting that you could do today:

Day 36

Weekly task: Geography and History River Nile project

Start off this week by watching this video on the River Nile.  I used to love Inspector Gadget when I was younger – maybe he was before your time though!

Tomorrow, I will be posting more information about your weekly task on the River Nile!

Pyramid projects

It’s now time to start sending in your Great Pyramid’s of Giza projects – I can’t wait to see what you all came up with!

Here is an optional activity for you to do! I wish I had come across it while we were still learning about the Egyptians, but it’s never too late to draw a fun cartoon!

Take care,

Mr. Oyewole
