Home school: Day 29

Hello, Beech class!

I hope you are all well. Today is the last day to submit photos for Sharing Friday. With Pyjamarama day and the bank holiday weekend last week, it feels like we haven’t had a full sharing Friday for a long time so make sure to send yours in! Friday’s post is looking to be a very exciting one!

Today’s learning

Today’s maths has been set on My Maths and is called ‘Introducing perimeter’.

Please go through the lesson activities and complete the questions – don’t forget to press ‘mark it!’.

Today’s task on Purple Mash is called ‘Day out’ and is all about separating fronted adverbials with a comma. A fronted adverbial is a word, phrase or clause that goes at the beginning of a sentence and acts like an adverb. They are always separated by a comma.

The boy toasted some marshmallows sitting by the fire.

A helpful trick to remember is that when you get to a point in a sentence where you take a bit of a pause or your voice goes up slightly, you may want to consider whether a comma is needed there.

I’m in school today so I’m not able to provide yesterday’s answers. If you would like them, please email me and I will send them to you when I am able to.
