Good morning, Beech class!
Welcome to Day 17 of home school! I hope you are all well.
Today’s maths has been set on My Maths and is called ‘Lists and tables 2’.
Please go through the lesson activities and complete the questions – don’t forget to press ‘mark it!’.
Now that you’ve thought about your alien, it’s time to think about the planet they come from! You can do this on Purple Mash on the ‘Planet profile’ task or you may prefer to do it in your book so that you have complete control of what your planet looks like.
Here is this week’s spelling.
We get to meet King Tutenkhamun in this chapter over on Purple Mash. There is a quiz and a writing task. The writing task is to use dialogue to continue the conversation in the story. Make sure you check how to type speech marks on your keyboard with someone.
Remember, there are different ways to punctuate speech.
“You use speech marks like this,” said Mr. Oyewole.
“Did you also know you can use a question mark?” he asked.
“Exclamation marks too!” he added excitedly.
Mr. Oyewole said: “Or you can sometimes write it like this with a colon and a full stop.”
“And don’t forget,” Mr. Oyewole reminded, “you can take a break in-between speech.”
